Default Alarms

ive been thinking about getting new alarms for a while now.
really want a set of NEVS, but was sat flicking through a carp tackle catalouge and thought. All nevs do is beep. no volume control, sensitivity etc.

so i thought why dont i just get a couple of Micron Ms. all they do is beep?

Or should i just be a tart and get the nevs.

Delks all day long! and night and spring, summer autumn and winter. Just ask yourself a simple question...What do Delkim do.....they make bite indicators ONLY! Tried and tested and stood the test of time.

For what it's worth - here's my opinion on alarms. Started carpin 20+ years ago and remember most of the alarms around at the time Optonics, Bi Tec Vipers etc and the original mk1 Delkin. The guys that knew their onions all used the original Delkim [which you could only buy 2nd hand at the time as they'd been discontinued years before I first got into the game]. As rare as, but they became gold dust and most sought after because they were SO reliable compared to the other alarms at the time.

I bought the MK2 Delkim as soon as they became available again - sold them 5 years later to a guy I still work with now [9 years later]. His son still uses them now and has never had a problem to this day.

Just as soon as I can justify shelling out a few squid - I'll be after the Delk's for sure!
