Try the nash ones pal A lot better .you dont loose half as many leads but if the fish gose in weed the lead is ejected They have A little notch that sticks out where the loop bit is .where the lead fits on the clip

running leads all the way for me,youve all seen the korda dvds where the fish can use a lead to get rid of the hook, with running leads the lead slides away when picked up,they cant deal with it,lead clips if its weedy tho!

Lead systems tend to balance on the lake in hand and the lake bed. Also the distance of the spot.
Silt set up.
I first went about using lead clips when fishing silt but I have found that you tend to get less runs possibly due to the bait being covered in silt.I know and have witnessed fish sifting in and threw the silt but I just haven't had enough takes to be convinced that putting a bait in deep silt can bring me a take. So I moved over to heli set up to try and present a bait on top of the silt or atleast in the upper layers. Also using a longer hook link. This set up has brought me numerous takes in the same swim as the lead clip set up. I did try usin a lighter lead on the lead clip system to try and stop it getting so deep in the silt which helped. But still hasn't out fished the heli!
Although if the spot has been baited for a while I can imagien the fish ripping the silt up for the bait. If they know theres something in there already from memorey?
Hard bed.
I would use an inline system just because of the simple fact that of the surface area of the lead giving you one hell of a hook hold!!
Although I wouldn't overlook the simplicity of the lead clip system. Or running lead although I'm a little slow on the up take to hit the bloody things sometimes resulting in missed runs.If I sit on the rods this system works well but I don't use it when bivvyied up.

Distance
I would also use the heli set up if I was fishing at distance due to the fact if I'm getting liniars I would hope I have a little lee way before the lead starts to pull the rig about! Especially on a lake full of litter or loads of snags. I went threw a stage of catching bread bags for a long time! Using lead clips and inlines.

This is just my opinion and it probabily differs from alot of others but if anyone wants to add anything please feel free!!..
Ps sorry for the poor spelling.
Dan
