Default Stainless or carbon fibre???

Just wondering which everyone thinks is better!? I want to get myself a decent bankstick set-up as i currently own a few random fishrite and fox black banksticks (which are getting a bit passed their best!!) and one stainless solar one!!

I like the strength of the stainless but not to keen on the weight of a whole set of them. I know carbon fibre is tough but is it as tough as the stainless ones?

sorry mate but i think your wrong, they are carbon and as a material carbon is pretty cheap, if you look at the wall of the stick you can clearly see they are 100% carbon, you can see the fibres

you can buy 100% carbon carp rods for £30 so i don't understand your valuation? or is it a guess?

the only thing that broke on mine was the aluminium tip that came off in very rough ground,

Do you actually own some of these i just don't understand how you can say they are plastic?

when you take the extandable part of the bankstick out you can not see the weave of the carbon fibre this meaning it is either a plastic composite of some sort of carbon compostie dont want to affend anyone but i just dont rele rate the product

sorri if i affended any1

Not got money to burn on expensive bank sticks i just use normal ones or a pod and my pod is nothin special just yet again a cheap one but it does the job as do the cheapish banksticks well cheap compared to stainless or carbon .
IMO its not what fancy kit you have got you simply buy the best you can afford and if it does the job then its ok or have carp got snobby these days and say
"im not taking his bait hes using alluminium bank sticks and his mate is using a cheap rod pod .Lets go down the other end of the pool theres a chap there using carbon fibre bank sticks and his mate has a stailess rod pod a far better class of angler down that end"
Its not what you have got its what you do with it !!!

Due to me being a bit of a tart i would have to say the stainless banksticks. I've got myself a few solar ones and they are the dogs danglies. Really strong and really shiny

Im not knocking anyone for having expensive kit i wish i could afford it .

Its this modern day designer mentality i DO NOT LIKE everything has gotta have a label .Just cos you have got expensive tackle dont mean you are gonna catch fish.

The other day i heard a kid say
"Im not wearing those they havn't got a ti*k they arn't"..... (that well known make of sportsgear).
Well the well known companie's trainers are made in Indonesia by kids working in awful conditions earning about a fiver for a 60 hour week so are you paying for a name or quality workmanship.

Not really bothered about the make! I too own a cheap basic pod but my banksticks are all getting a bit knackered and bent so figure it'd be better if i just fork out a little bit extra and get a decent set that will last me a while and not need replacing!!

got me 3 quarters of a set of neville banksticks just after one more lol

stainless... in all honesty they arent that heavy... its the matrix stuff that weighs a ton lol... having said that i could do with a set of the buzz bars lol

however in this day an age.. anglers are budgeting their kit.. stainless or carbon its really up to the individual on how much they want to spend... end of they day they both do exactly the same job

i use a stainless goal post set up not for tart value simply because of the strength of them and the amount of abuse they take without breaking!I havnt tried the carbon ones so i dont know what they are like but imo go stainless

For a 2 rod set up I have 4 of the Nash green ali banksticks with a screw on the end, like a powerdrive bankstick. They are light and strong enough for most situations, not too expensive and worth a look at.
