I often use 8mm pellets. Sonubaits do excellent hookbait pellets. These can be hair rigged straight from the packet. Personally I mesh mine in cheap stocking material to ensure they last at least 48 hours. Normal 8mm pellets can be used. Simply mesh 2 together in stocking, tying off with braid. They can then be whipped onto the hook shank. Alternatively tie them off using a longer length of hooklink braid and tie them to the hook no knot style. I mesh mine either end on end to make a long thin pellet hook bait, or, side by side.

i use a small cordless screw driver with a small hss bit (steel drill bit) for all my pellets i drill them at home and depending how what time of year it is i give them a soak in some salmon oil etc for 24 hours this prolongs there life a littel.
