Default Bulk buying between monkeys.

Alright Guys,

Been thinking about boilies and I know that the more you buy the cheaper they get.

Would any fellow monkies be interested in chipping in for maybee an order of 200 kilos of a particular bait in order to get the prices down?

With regards to Company or Flavour - Im not massively fussed as long as it is a reputable bait from a reputable company, with a good record of catches.

I was thinking of 10 people getting 20 kilos each.

If ten people show an interest I can start looking at some prices.

Dave

Thumbs up

I'm fine with members arranging bulk buys via the site, just so long as people are all aware if it all goes belly up and somebody runs off with the money - it's nowt to do with us.

That said, I think it's a good idea, and although I'm not in the market for bait personally, you might be able to bring the price down a bit if enough get involved.

Also, if it helped to get a bit more knocked off, I'd be happy to publish a short/long term review on the bait on the website, written by some of those who have used it, which assuming you catch something, could be good exposure for the company?

Cheers...

J

If it is a local bait firm we could all meet at the place with the cash?

Depends what seasons we were all after, i presume this would be a spring, summer bait. Plus they usually throw in a load of glugs andf dips etc if you bulk buy.

If your doing it i'd go for a bait with a proven track record e.g. kg1 or maple8. if you buy 200kilos of a bait and have a load of blanks between you your confidence might go on it and you'll be stuck with loads of bait you don't fancy much. having said that, most baits catch but you do get the odd one which is a bit cack. also each water may be different for you. i went on maple8 on dodds a couple of years ago and got completely savaged by tench all year. i changed to a different bait this year and had my best year on there. I'd personally order 20kilos of a bait for targeting one water and speak to whoever's formulating it for you, telling them if there's loads of nusiance fish the circumstances your in. what size bait you want, (different sizes can cost more such as 10millers) and when your campaigns starting, are you going to stick to a regimented baiting campaign on your water or are you going to try and get more instant success. These are the factors that determine what bait i'll be using on a water.

'nail on head hit '

i am not going to knock this idea as to save a few ££ anything is a good idea in my books.. think long and hard about the type of water your goign to fish, past captures, how they respond to certain baits etc.. before chosing who has the cheapest.. i would be gutted if i had spent maybe £50 on 10 kilo of bait to find i can only catch bream on it.. back in the freezer and out with the tried and tested "other" bait

great idea but think of the long term

Totally agree with Bl4cky & Chesh.

I fish a few different waters, Mainly my syndicate water and a few day ticket waters here there and everywhere.

On my syndicate water - no two anglers use the same boilie and we all catch. I have also had sucsess on different brands / flavours as well as catching on particles.

Why I have decided to do this is so I can have a store of boilies in the freezer so that I can A) start a mini baiting campaign in time for spring and B) be safe in the knowledge that I have got some decent bait in the freezer for any future day sessions or the odd overnighter at new waters where you may not know what the best or "in" bait is.
