Default Seafood

Has any one had any luck using seafood hook baits, I no prawns have been discussed, what about cockels, mussels etc......

also can you use treacle/goldern syrup as a 'glug' for baits (boilies,sweetcorn)

yeah those sea baits are pretty good but the pasties and tincas love them.
and yes the golden syrup works pretty well with the scopex and tutti frutti, but i've never used treacle so no comment on that one.

Tincas and slimeys love treacle and molasses as do carp when they can get to it before the slimey bait thieves

used to use prawn for carp fishing on the pole used to smash it could imagine they would be hard to keep on the hair though

I have used mussels before but had to secure them on the hook with pva tape to cast it out I had carp on them but got pestered to death by bloody big roach 2lb plus hanging themselves on a size 6 hook
