Slugs

Anyone used slugs before as a carp bait?

I read somewhere that they are good river baits, but has anyone had any experience?

I have used em before just got them from off the bank but never had a take on them.

Its a damn shame that carp don't go daft for them,although presented in the right situation I see no reason for them not to work,as theres that many on my brolly at 2am I'd never need visit a shop again to buy boilies.

Dirty spawn of satan they are,even hooking them is an experience akin to some of the 'yoofs' on here squeezing their zits on a friday night....

Had chub on em cant see why a carp wouldnt pick one up!!...I have heard of carp going crazy for chicken legs..!!!......cant think how you could hair rig a chickens leg though....lol...

defo work for chub so i dont see why carp wont eat them.never tried them.

ha ha.....smokester...but it is true mate.This bloke was talking to me one day the other year when I was doing a day on a little runs water which is next to an estate and a tesco's.He said some young lads were having a feast of chicken legs from the tesco's and flinging the legs in the margins..lol...about half an hour later he said the margin was like a jacuzzi with the carp going bonkers for the chicken legs......Maybe I should try that MB baits KFC stuff.....

Probably not worth trying slugs at range, but there must be enough that fall from overhanging vegetation for carp to see them as a natural food source in the margins.

As for hooking them, I have just one word: forceps!

Yeukkk !!!! cant stand the slimey little buggers i hate them with a passion we gat em in our garden so i put slug pellets down and when i go out in the morning it loks like a massacre theres loads of em .

yeh ive tryed them for carp on pendle veiw once was only in 15 mins and it screemed of shame it was a dirty ass eel
