Yes

But by putting Oyster shell in the mix instead you will add weigh and be able to fling em further

I find it difficult to believe that small pieces of eggshell ( which after mixing and rollin is what they will be) will add much crunch at all. I do believe carp love to crunch, but I'm convinced eggshell gives lumpy not crunchy.

Egg shells are crunchy.

Try it and you will see the crunchy pieces of shell in the finished bait. Obviously the amount of shell added will depend on how crunchy the bait it though.

Not really too much to argue with about on that one

A question for you all....

What,is the greatest transmitter of sound?

The answer, assuming you are correct, will tell you the reason eggshells and oyster shell is used,

Water, do i get a gold star?

Like some seed in my bait for just this reason, hemp shells etc and dont mind eggshell as its still crunchable but oyster shell etc is like little lumps of stone and while i can see them aiding digestion i cant see them making much of a crunch.

Talking

Gold star

Apart from not having to throw away the shells thus saving on waste, the transmission of sound in water is far greater than that of airbound sound.Tap on the floor of a swimming pool and ask a friend 25mtrs away how loud it was?

Fish when feeding on baits containing shell, hemp, nuts in fact anything that requires a good grind with their pharangeal teeth transmit this sound which,in turn attracts other carp, their underwater senses being far greater than that of our own(surprise surprise)

Regards,Dean
