Baiting up baits

I'd use a small amount of boilies, partiblend and the largest halibut pellets you can get your hands on mate. they break down after a while and will be mopped up by the smaller fish but leave attraction in the area. also 22mm will last out there longer than smaller pellets which will be caned by the bream. I wouldn't worry to much if you start catching snotties and tench after pre-baiting mate as if there munching on your pre-bait eventually them big kippers will move in. It's just a case of regimenting yourself to days when your going down and keeping at it. the more effort you put in the better chance you have. i normally prepare my prebait in buckets all in advance for a weeks prebaiting then add the pellets and boillies on the day of prebait. also don't tell anyone where your putting it or if your having a few. unfortunately you WILL get stitched up as i found out the myself, the hard way.

get yourself a sack of hemp and a sack of tares! caught lots of carp over this mixture.

25kg sack is dirt cheap!
bulk this out with a couple of kilos of boilies, hemp and maize and everything and anything! gets you over 35kg of bait when its all bulked out.
if i cant bait up everyday but can get up once or twice. then i just stick about 15-20kg spread all around different spots.

if you want to pile bait in think about the preparation time for it hemp needs soaking then boiling and unless you have the use of industrial equipment it will take ages your best bet would be to use something like red band although there is a cheaper brand thats around £8 for 25kg and you can get flaked maize for £5 for 25kg neither have to be soaked all you have to do is pour boiling water over it in a bucket then put the lid on and leave it over night the flaked maize will stodge it up a bit but you can add whatever else you want to it then like vitalin ,flavours,boilies etc etc a large cammo bucket will hold about 18kg of the stuff and by the time they bulk up you will probably have about 100kg without adding anything else at all

hmmmm i reckon 350? just a quess.
used around a 80k of boilie this year for sure! and too much vitalin! lol as soon as i walk in the local pet shop the guy runs out to the shed and brings back two big sacks of vitalin!

Hemp is the one for me, i fish a similar water and hemp seemed to attract the fish to the same baited up spot time and time again,
Then it's just a case of fishing something over the top of 1tin of sweetcorn to your bucket of hemp is perfect for a fake sweetcorn hook-bait
