just use em like tigers then, soak in water with a tablespoon of salt per kilo of nuts soak for a good 24 hrs then boil for 40 mins. my honest opinion just use em as they come ,after preperation though, but make sure there human grade nuts ,as peanuts for birds will kill fish and you wont be very popular.

Are you sure? As all peanuts as far as i know are high in free radicals which cause cancer. Smokey flavours where particualy bad for them, hence alot of them being banned. Dont worry too much or stop eating peanuts with your pint as pretty much everything will give you cancer, its all up to chance. Millions of free radicals pass threw you constantly it if they collid with a cell nucleuse and it goes hay wire that the problem starts. Or so is my understanding.

Difference between human grade and non is freshness and storing conditions as far as i am aware.

I cant see any problem with carp digesting peanuts, i think they do have a negative affect on the liver though? my knowledge is very limited though.

Why are we discussing peanuts as a viable bait at all? Normally everyone is so caring about the carps welfare on here. It has taken nigh on twenty years to get it into most carp anglers heads that peanuts are bad for carp and they above all nuts are banned on most waters.

They contain no nutritional value at all, wrongly prepare these and you will kill fish.

I stay away from them because of the Toxins and the oil content i cant see them doing the carp any good and I dont think they provide a good food source. But the salt idea is definatley a good one as I use it regularly in mixes, hemp etc and it works for me.

Do they contain less digestable nutrional value than tiger nuts, sweetcorn, hemp?

If you have to ask that, there is no hope for you.
