I used to use them years ago. Mainly because my local tackle shop in the Midlands where a main stockist so there was always loads of their stuff in.

Used most of the gear, inc base mixes, flavors etc. They also used to do a base mix with the flavors and attractors already in the mix, all you had to do was add the eggs and boil as normal, think it was called the 'catcher range' or something, ideal for new comers who want to make their own bait. We used to make the white chocolate one, did very well at Shatterford on it.

Am I right in thinking Des Taylor now owns the company and is based in Bridgnorth or Bewdley in the Severn Valley somewhere?!?

You mean he filled out the form on their website to get cheap bait.

SBS - Kidderminster based outfit headed up by Des Taylor. Roll their own on site and have quite a range of additives, etc.

Would not use any of the boilies or pellets myself, have seen quite a bit of their stuff up close and just not for me, sure others will swear by it though - all down to personal choice and confidence, etc.

One thing I do have in my cupboard of theirs is the Ace liquid lobworm additive, which I use for various bits and pieces.

I used to use their original Scopex flavour which was in my opinion brilliant and had a different smell to all the other Scopex versions I have seen.Teekay

as many have pointed out Des runs this company from Dixon Avenue i think in Kidderminster.. nice little set up they have.. for any catch reports you only have to check out the linear website.. the MEat and Worm boilie has ripped it to pieces

SBS, under Martin Kowall's ownership, used to produce top notch gear in the 1980s. It was expensive but good quality with it. It originated in Kent if my memory is correct.

Now Des Taylor, ex-Badger , is running the show I wouldn't use it even if they gave the stuff away.

Default Sbs

TBH I have never used it so can only comment on others who have.It catches of that theres no doubt but it is expensive stuff....I would be surprised if it was made of cr@p though as whether you like him or not Des Taylor has been in this game a long time and despite what you might think or hear he knows his stuff.I think he had a 40 way back in the eighties and hammered a few of his local waters and I would guess he was probably knocking bait up even then. The only bait I have had a look at is the M range boilies and you can tell they have some good stuff in fishmeals milks etc etc...they do pong as well....if you can get it cheap its probably as good a way of spending your money as any other bait .....
