when i was spending my time on the TP, i was working in Manchester at the time, so prebaiting every day over a varitey of spots to keep the weed off worked as i kept a beauty of a spot free from weed and had a run on the first day of fishing it... (sadly lost)

i was going armed with 5kilo a day of particles.

Nowadays im fishing a water that i know wont have seen my boilies, the margins are 3-5ft deep and a bit choddy, and again i go armed with 5kilo of hemp and crushed maize with 3kilo of crushed and whole boilies.. over 3 or 4 spots... i do this most nights during the summer months, during the winter its whenever i am walking the dog round that way!

one tip though Rainey if you do start to prebait, make sure noone is watching you... they could easily jump on them swims knowing there is bait going in on them or form a baiting party so to speak.. take it in turns pre baiting various swims.. slightly cheaper as well !!

In winter more than summer

But yes i do

I think its important if you want to keep the fish feeding to keep the bait going in even in winter i use just as much as summer if not more i just spread it about and take into concideration other species and ducks ect.

Its not worked yet mind

I remember about 3 years ago deciding to fish chorlton i walked the dogs round there every day i could and put my bait in on every ocassion so when i eventually fished there i did get the results i was after and had a lot of fish off there using that particular bait .So its worth all the work in the long run

Default prebait

It always pays off in the end to put a bit of bait in... I often put in a pound of boilies a few days before i am going to fish and it often pays off nicely. If you can get a spot going and get bait into it regularly you can often take fish from there for a long time provided nobody else gets in on the act.Its all about pressure, if a fish can eat 500 boilies before he gets hooked then you might be able to get them coming back to the very same spot time and time again. Its all about confidence for the fish you might have been to KFC 100's of times but only been kept waiting in the queue for an hour once but you still keep going back for them goodies!!!....

5kg per day

Is that seeds or nuts or a bit of both?

Seeds are OK but I wouldn't want to feed those lovely old Leneys any nuts to be honest.

a word of warning to baiting in the winter make sure you get you location correct if you can get down great but its also good to cast a bait around to find the fish most people here are talking havig fished all summer found there spots so havea going plan try baiting a few spots with a bit of bait regular keep your options open and most of all enjoy yourself with luck you could have the lake to yourself so you can see if there are fish about

good luck mate

i prebait my local before i plan to fish down there and it works a treat.

i usually start prebaiting 4 days before i plan to go , to give them enough time to feel its safe to feed there.
