Do Tiger nuts make a good all year round bait ?

I presume theres nothing wrong with using them in Winter etc etc...

Yes tigers do work in winter but i have found them very less effective, tigers are at there fish catching best in the hot months, end of july, august ,sept.

Then onto some good easyly digested bait as there is weight to pack on for winter.
This has been posted before i am sure but use them sparingly, a dozen round a hookbait is plenty.

Carp gain very little from eating tigers, bar a little oil and sugars. Alot go though and out the other end whole so to speak. I recon in comparson it must be like passing a golf ball for us.

We all know particles must be prepared why prevents germination, softens them, help turn starches into suger,etc. ( carp safe).

But there it another reason many particle (raw)contain emyzme inhibitors which stops or slow down the digestive process. Boiling also interupt these inhibitors. Have a think about the bird eating seeds passing them straight through ,seed grows, nature carrys on.

Ok mate I have done well using 3 to 4 crushed around a small Tiger hookbait. Would not feel confident using them all whole re the attraction etc. But got to be worth a punt on one rod.
