Default seeds

I once did a sesh some years ago using a seedmix called wild bird...it contained sunflower seeds, aniseed and oats or wheat plus a few other things and it was cheap but i have not seen it about for ages with the aniseed in.Anyway back on track..lol...I found half a dozen doubles knocking around a nice little marginal snag so in went a few handfuls of the seed mix.A boilie was then placed over the top.I kept having a look and could see these fish munching the seed mix but still no take.So I put 3 sunflower seeds on the hair and voila two little doubles in an hour. Its worth a bash mate and is very different. The fish can obviously regulate their suction when feeding hence the boilies didnt go off...

Ive always found that if the place has been hammered with boilies and spod mixes the best thing to try is a worm ,cockle or prawn .Cockles are the best margin bait i know just chuck a few in and one or 2 on the hair .I tend to fish em on a 12s hook single bait no hair .They are also a great stalking bait not cheap though unless you live near the coast and can gather your own
