Default Big baits... what size hook?

I just thought I'd throw this question out there.... I'm fishing the Specialist Tackle International carp tournament next week on the St. Lawrence, and have had some monster 26mm boilies made....

The only thing is I'm not sure how big to go with the hook. I usually use a size 6 for most of my fishing, but don't want to have the hook masked by a massive boilie! I'm thinking of size 4's or even 2's.... Anyone have any experience/thoughts with big baits?

size 4 Korda Wide Gapes would go nicely with a big 26mm boilie.

Yeah, 4 would be more than enough I would have thought.

Just make the hair longer a size 6 is still exceptable.Masking can only occur when hook and bait have no seperation.

i would personally use a size 12 tied direct to a 4lb hooklink.. i have heard they are shy biters over there.. conceal the rigs and all that

size 4 or 6 would do the job
