i have never used them but i have heard they are very soft and usually break when coming out of the throwing stick. Have a look at www.thebaitmaster.co.uk <<< i have heard they are a quality bait.

Ive made them but not used them. They skin up as normal on a 3 minute steam. The main problem is how do you steam 10 kgs as quick as boiling them. They felt very light so a throwing stick could be a problem. The main advantage is that proteins and vitamins/minerals stay active whereas boiling destroys a percentage.Definately worth a go.

Dont really get it myself. If you want the protiens and any possible enzymes in your bait not to denature then just boil them for less time. Steam is still 100C but becuase the baits arent submerged in it they dont cook through as much. So rather than steam them just boil them for 30 secs or less, far easier and just the smae result.
Although keeping protiens intact is fine, enzymes and the like often have strict operating temperatures so the freezing may well then kill them off.

Not worth the bother IMHO.
