You ever tried Richworth's Active Xtract pastes Phil, fantastic paste baits.

Here's the text for them off the Richworth site;

ACTIVEXTRACTS & SUPPLEMENTS

ActiveXtracts are a bit special. They are baits that can be used when the chips are down and bites are really diffi cult to tempt or whenever you think that the fi sh might not want to feed on huge beds of bait.

Think of it - a paste that can be rolled into a ball, left to air dry, bounced off a work surface, hair rigged like a boilie and then, when it is immersed in water, breaks down at a controlled rate.

When hair rigged, ActiveXtracts shrink slightly, gripping the hair, yet the outside of the bait exudes a halo of flavour.

ActiveXtracts work because they are pure, natural powders containing ridiculously high levels of protein and because they provide carp with high levels of nutrition without needing to introduce huge amounts of bait. Because carp and other cyprinids have highly advanced chemo reception systems they can detect the goodness in ActiveXtracts before they ingest them. Not a bait to pile in, but one to fish in conjunction with a two or three bait stringer.

Developed for carp, barbel and chub, the 5hr+ structure is suited to rivers, stalking and short sessions, whilst the 15hr+ is for longer sessions. A tub of ActiveXtracts makes, depending on the blend and liquid chosen, up to 200gms of finished product which equates to 50 x 18mm hook-baits.

100g tubs, 5hour+
· Liver Plus
· Fish & Squid
· Spiced Meat
· Blue Cheese & Garlic
· Savoury Yeast
100g tubs,15hour+
· Liver Plus
· Fish & Squid
· Spiced Meat
· Blue Cheese & Garlic
· Savoury Yeast
Supplements 250ml
· Liquid Yeast Mix
· Liquid Liver
· Liquid Kelp
· Minamino
· Corn Steep Liquor

Just go to shop then and pick up a winter base mix without fishmeal, some eggs, bit of some tasty winter flavour and any stimulants like sense appeal. Mix together and away you go.

You could get an online one to over night you some but going to be some expensive paste. You got no base mix lying about Phil. Fishmeal wont matter too much in a paste.

Your a bit stuck mate, unless anyone can think up some kitchen creation. Sure there are some match pastes from van edyene or whatever. Come in little white tubs, tutti frutti, fishmeal, scopex i think. Thats from my tackle shop days.

Just had a thought, you got any groundbait? This plus some blitzed goodies, plus some flavour, add some bits and away you go.

"No fishmeals" - immediately thought of Enervite. See no reason why it won't make a great paste.

you could try the method mix and egg blend or why not go 'old school' and knock up some kit-e-kat and weetabix paste or if your local tackle shop is match orientated see if they stock that Ringers paste stuff
