i do like lee jacksons articles because he tells it like it is, though i dont agree with him on everything i think he has come up with a very valid point with this

It's a difficult one this. Is Lee saying there's no bloodworm extract in the pellets at all, just artificial flavour...

You could argue that 'spicy chicken' boilies bear no resemblance to the real thing in that that there isn't pieces of spicy chicken in them. The only thing I think that he can mean is that these pellets aren't made with real bloodworm.

I think what Lee is getting at is when these products are on the lake bed they bear no resemblance to a bed of real bloodworm i.e not wriggly red worms!!!. I can think of 2 or 3 manufacturers who use real bloodworm extracts in their products.

That thought was in the back of my mind when I read the first post. But I thought surely it couldn't be that obvious. Think I might submit an article to the carp mags making people aware that GLM boilies bear no resemblance to a mussel bed....

Saying that I haven't read the article, I dear say it's a very informative read though. I normally like to read Lee's stuff, but this one sounds a bit bizarre. Will take a look the weekend..

Without naming names....the company i usually get bait from do a range of bloodworm products, boile, pellets etc.................before they became public usage these products were availiable to me.............when i enquired as to obtaining them it was recomoended to me that i save my money ! as they have such a fast leakage that they are 'bland' after more than an hour in the water !

The company were only making them because they were the latest 'fad' in the baitworld ! and the company would miss out on sales if they didnt conform to public demand !
