Default Traditionals or boilies

i don't know why but a get a breater feeling of achievemnt when i manage to hook and land a decent kipper on one of the old traditional baits like worms, floating crust ,bread flake ,sweet corn or maggots .Does catching on some of the more mature baits make anyone else feel any different .

I reckon it is a minority who can fish with traditionals "properly" (cat and pigeons springs to mind )
The majority who come into Fishing now think the boilie is the only way to catch fish.

I am happy to fish with either, and there is nothing more satisfying than a Carp taking a worm or slug you have dropped on its nose.

The only problem on some waters is that I don't have time for stalking or there are other factors like overcrowding and idiots who won't let you settle, so my Traditional Fishing is sadly missing or suffering.

I'm pretty confident in the boilie approach when I need to use it though.

most of my takes (even though i'm struggling to land them through one reason or the other) are coming to a tiny tiger nut topped off with a bit of pop up corn to balance it out. boilies are a crap summer bait in my opinion but come into there own in autumn. they are handy as they resist the attentions of small fish but the old plastic fantastic, corn or meat will always catch fish and there ain't a fish swimming that won't nail a big lobworm.

I'm fishing in a similar way on one rod at the mo with a nice big nut balanced with a whittled down boosted tiger nut pop up and it seems to be working well
