Done well - admitedly on fairly hungry, easy waters on blackeyed beans in the past. Again they take on a flavour really well - worth trying the Hutchy thing of preparing them using tomato soup.

Thinking about it, used to do really well on chick peas as well...seems to be an almost unused bait these days - especially when people's idea of particles stop at tigers, hemp, maize and partiblend.

Not used beans for a while now (getting to lazy to prepare them) but in the past have had varying results with many types, including:-

Soya, Lima, Broad, Adzuki, Gunga, Mung, Pinto, Haricot and Kidney Beans.

The beauty of using beans as bait is that if you don't catch with them, you can always eat them

Blackeyed beans in the late 70.s early 80,s were the in bait on Compstall, had loads on them. This was in the days when everyone kept their bait a secret. Dont hear much about them now its all maize and tigers. Well worth establishing I reckon Nige. I never coloured or flavoured them to do so now could replecate signals given off by boilies and the aim is to be different?
