Same here, never really thought they would be any good but never give them a go either. Sounds like they might be worth a shot after all.

Ive never given the glow stuff ago. Its very rare that i will turn my nose up at trying something different, but ive got to be honest, i never gave this a second look. I think at this time of year it would work at its best when they are slowly waking up. Youd get the odd fish taking it through curiosity.

I have used the glow in the dark corn a few times but not had a fish on it oh apart from a couple of bream I spoke to Frank Warrick about it on the mannor and he said that it seems to work on some waters and useless on others. But i have caught loads of fish on the normal plastic corn and its a must on at least one rod on most of the oxfordshire waters.

Bought some to give them a try this yr, will let you know how I get one. Normal plastic corn has fished well for me so have great expectations

Although i've not really used Glow in the dark baits, i do have some in the tackle box just in case, obviously they are the visual factor which can definatly pay off

This year i've had all my carp on mega bright homemade hookbaits, and have totally outfished my mates who i fish with, so much so that i've supplied them with a few cos i felt bad it's amazing the amount of people who won't try the bright hookbait approach, when you only have to look at the results of Frank Warwik to know that they work

Used a fake tiger to balance my bait with, landed me a 42lb 2oz Galician Mirror in Belgium. Must admit though i never gave the fake corn thing a go one of my mates always uses it though.

theres no doubt the fake corn really does work, and a hell of a job too.

what about any other artificials, has anyone had any success on anything else?

or what about the new stuff, the camo corn

I have caught alot of fish on fake corn myself, but another imitation bait i have done well on, is the enterprise 6m fake pellets, had a few fish from christchurch last year, using a single 6m pellet popped up of the hook, fished on a 4 inch braided hook link in a pva bag of pellets or bag mix
I have also used the fake tiger nuts for floater fishing, by trimming the ends off, so it is about the same size as a mixer. the one thing about using them for floater fishing, they don't come off .

way to unatural for me its a disgrace to catch a fish like that why dont people just use corn or maize instead of knowing your baits is on for a month.

As i said previously, ive never really given the artificial stuff a go. How would you recomend presenting it?? Assuming you would hair-rig it how long would you have the hair and the rig? Would you use putty to keep it a set distance off the bottom?

Iv got a pack of them camo corns they should look bob on when float fished just touching the bottom

They could be so much better though if you could attach your own hook

keeping em pristine comes to my mind, or they wont be lookin fluffy n weed like for long.I'd recommend pantene prov for this job and a nice bit of intensive conditioner could work wonders.
