whey gel or whole egg powder will firm your baits up,also whey protein is worth a look,like you say egg albumin gives a firm outer skin while the centre remains moist.

mate 50g of egg albumin per kilo of base mix plus 50g of whole egg powder will give you firmer baits with a tough outer....use less kelp to give your bait a smoother finish threres no need to change anything else...
