Sorry guys but being a Yank and wondering just what is going on here I must ask, do ya'll use the same method mix year round?? I didn't notice any mention of a method mix for any specific time of year. Does it matter to ya'lls carp?? The Carp in the States arn't that easy.

Best method mixes I have used are the Sensas ones.I tried vitalin a few times and it never did any good until I added some Robin red and dampened trout pellets. So rather than mess about buying trouties and RR if I think the method might score I will just buy a bag of Sensas and add whatever is lying around which usually means corn possibly hemp.The method can be a good tactic and has saved a blank for me a few times

Get a mix of different size halibuts and trouties and scald them by pouring just enough boiled water over them to make them damp, don't cover them completely. Leave them for a couple of hours and you'll end up with a mix of soft pellets of various sizes that can be moulded around the feeder.

my method mix consists of;
(in varying quantities, depending on what I've got handy, it all works!) vitalin, about 50-75% of mix trout pellet powder small pellet/halibuts, half before mixing, half after. ground hemp then add small food items to mix. any small cooked particle (hemp, wheat, etc) corn broken boilies, handful into quarters and smaller. thoroughly mix, leave to stand for about 15mins, then remix, and test consistency. add a sprinkle of dry vitalin to stiffen mix, if needed. all good food stuff, and will drag the carp to your swim. you dont need a method feeder if your only lobbing out upto 40yds. fishes really well just moulding a ball around your lead/leadclip, etc.
