Which Boilie (Don’t Believe the Hype)

Hi Guys

I’m quite new to carping and get lost with all the boilies available, im looking for something I can use on my club water long term. Seen all the ads for different baits, you guys see it on the bank how it is. What boilies would you guys recommend?

I am not going to recommend a bait company, just say any good proven fishmeal bait will keep catching fish

And in the winter you can't be the old pineapple single high attract bait

i agree with bigpushy. depending on how many rods u are using. on 1 rod i wuld use a fishmeal on the second a fruity bait then maybe on the third not even a boilie maybe sweetcorn/maize, meat, maggots, pellets. why stop at boilies..

Because a 'quality' boilie cannot be beaten IMO .

Which ever one you decide stick with it mate don't keep swopping and changing as that will really blow your mind ( I spent 3 year's doing that )and your results will suffer you can not beat a proven bait on most waters try to find out what the going bait is on your club lake and get on that on one rod as said in other monkey's post's give scotty a pm he will sort you out local bloke really helpful

From personal experience I have used many of Nutrabaits Base Mixes and found that the Fishfood Mix, Biollix, Enervite/Trigga combo have worked long term. For the past couple of years I've been using Bait and Feed co Smokey Mackeral and that has worked well.

In terms of other companies you can't knock Mainline baits even if they do work out expensive, (as can Nutrabaits), Grange CSL and Big Fish Mix produced many fish and Carp continue to get caught on them.

Shop around, ring Bait companies and see what they recommend, it will be their own baits (obviously), but you will get some useful information to work with.

dont go for all the big names like mainline imo, stick to the smaller companys.. even cc moore they do a few quality baits.. have a look at them, they are reasonably priced aswell, the meteor has been doing the business for me lately mate
