Default Maize - Good for River Carping??

Hi all, would you think Maize could be a good bait on the River systems? On it's own? Mixed with say 60% Hemp, 20% Maize, 15% small pellet & 5% Tigers?
Just asking as the tow and the lightness of the bait could get washed away

Comments please?.

all depends on the speed of the water id say the maize should be ok, id use the giant hemp if ya could but wouldnt bother with the pellets, if they dnt get washed away when they go in they will wen they break up and they'll attract all the lttle silver fish ya dnt really want

Thanks Faz & Marker.

The pellets will be 14 & 22mm so should deter the little blighters until too soft, but competitive feeding, no matter what type of specie can't be all bad!!.

I have some Maize on the boil now from Chesh, as recommended by this forum so here goes - I will be in touch.

Thanks again.
