Have seen them mouthing Fag Ends that have been chucked in the water but cant really see it doing much harm if they took one either. Think if they swallowed some of the plastic and fake gear thats around now as hookbaits that would probably do more harm IMO.

My mate Phils the expert on this subject. I've seen him catch on garlic cloves and he regularly catches on various sweets - the little milk bottles being one of his favourites along with the little fizzy coke bottles as a change bait.

Apparently on Chorlton, it's that rough on there now, even the carp are cruising round in gangs smoking Lambert & Butlers in the margins......

a wotsit. i'd sat there all day chuckin' wotsits in. then a carp came up an took 1. on went a wotsit. 2 minutes later i pulled in a 8lb common.
the wotsits seemed to explode when they hit the water u could see all the fat n SH** oozin' outta them.

A 1p sweet i did well on them for a few weeks on a local club water, it was those frog shapes that float so used 1 popped of the deck.

It was great 100 hook baits for a £1

not the strangest of baits but it was a smart **** moment all the same ....

went down a local lake ... you know the one deano {H.End} anyways a few lads i know were fishing and they are teh sort that spend more money on the beer than tackle .... anyways free lined bread was the tatics they use but on this day the fish were a little further out .... so armd with my control and bread i tried to get out to where they were havin it ..but i kept losin the bread on the cast ...so been a smart **** and with every one watchin i proceded to chop part of the sole of my puma trainers off , attatching it to the hook then whacking it out lol ... well would you belive it , asoon as the rubber hit the water a carp came up and took it straight away ..RESULT lol 13lb mirror .......now you can imagin whats these beer swilin chavs around me thought ...I WAS THE DOGS lol ..... when it all comes good its great lol
