Default Baits that have stood the test of time

Been looking at what bait to use this season and it got me thinking, every year a bait company brings out a new bait that is supposed to be the next step in bait formulation, looking back 10 years when i was angling far more than i do today i was using the B5 which is a top bait along with the likes of Nash Scopex squid, Nutrabaits Trigga & Big Fish Mix.
I am thinking of going back to one of these baits for the coming season, i think that because they are not being used as much as they used to then these baits should still have the pulling power of old.
Are any of you monkeys using any of these classics?

Premier Aminos

Weve all got a lot to thank this bait for and can still hold its own amongst the best of them even today.

Nutrabaits Cream Cajouser or Cranberry Classic, Nash Monster Pursuit, Solar Squid and Octopus (i think)

what might need to be looked at though is the cost for these baits... would a bait rolling company roll these at more cost because they arent 'the norm' any more? hhhmmm not sure

Probably make them for a reasonable price if you ordered enough, say 50kg!!

Still reckon I'd feel confident with big fish mix, salmon oil and cranberry in the summer months.

Always did ok on the red enervite as well in the winter, with cranberry and molasses.

Solar quench was a top mix as well.

I find that Mainline maple-8 easily outfish them, even in the depths of winter, when tuttis are supposed to be at their best.

A friend of mine still uses the grange, I heard last week that it is being discontinued.
Any truth in this rumour, is is it just that many shops don't stock it now, as Mainline has brought out so many other baits since, each one being better than the previous bait?
