Kero syrup is a standard, high grade, syrup in the States. While syrup is used in many packbaits Kero is never used by those that know much about packbaits. There are several reasons but the main reason is that the fish just don't like it. Now I'm not saying you cant catch on it but it just isnt what is used by those that use syrup packbaits on a longterm and regular basis.
The syrup used most is a cheap brand of syrup that has no flavor and is a corn syrup. "OH Boy" is one and "Bobwhite is another". The main thing is to get just a plain corn base syrup with ((nothing added)).
