CC Moore's cork dust is made of quite large granules mate nowhere near like 'dust'.

just purchased some cork dust of ebay £4.50 for 2 litres!

Decided to switch from my home made cork ball popups to this style so i can piece the bait instaead of tying it on with floss.

So,
1. What ration of dust to base mix?
2. Do you need to add anything else or does it roll ok just base mix and dust?
3. Do you increase flavour levels to compensate for the cork soaking in the liquids?>

Any advice appreciated.

I got some cork dust off ebay, tried different ratio's to make popups, i ended up with a stodgy mix that wouldnt bind, was using the B5 mix but didnt sieve it, maybe that was the problem? i think the pack recommended 2 parts base mix to 1 part dust but that didn't work, i think there are different density's of cork and with different moisture levels, i went through 4- 1 egg mixes until i gave up and went to using poly balls.

ive spoken to a mate who makes and supplies bait about this, he has told me in general that cork dust and base mix wont roll well.

he uses 1 part base mix, 1 part pop up mix (richworth etc) and 1 part cork dust.

stick with the cork balls mate just change the size for difrent bouancys the problem with cork dust is that when the boile takes on water they end up sinking any way good if you want a wafter but if its popups i would stick with cork balls

The less dust you can put in the better as it stops the base mix binding.Start at one third and experiment.I would go for a pop up mix.

just made my first batch of corker pop ups, rolled very easily and have set hard.

2 scoops B5 base mix
2 scoops cork dust
1 scoop ritchworth pop up mix
half a scoop of egg albumin

2 eggs
5 ml flavour
15mil salmon oil

boiled for 1 min 30 sec - perfecto approx 160 pop ups in 14 and 16 mils
