no mate this is not a stupid question they are in there prime but they are fermenting like beer they should be all glupy and slimey now.when i preapre mine i usally get them to about this stage.

soak for 3 days.
boil for 30 mins.
soak for another 2 days.

they go all slimey and glupy the way they should be realesing all the sugars and most importantly expanding to ther full capacity. i freeze what i wont be using for the weekend until next time i go you dont need loads of tigers just a couple for the hook and a couple of handfulls for each rod.

from past experience when in a gloopy state, I drain the liquid and add loads of small pellet for 'balling' in, then with the tigers use a pouch per 30 mins and build the swim up, or prebait with a kilo every other day, then use PVA bagged Tigers with double hookbait counter balanced with cork plug inserts so 'wafter style' and shoould be okay over 20 baits.....and ball in pellets wrapped in the glupe!!
how is the tigers now catching - any look?

a kilo every other day?? too much in my opinion!!! they only really need to be used in small quantities...

Would agree there mate I use them all the time and on my last session which was in France a few weeks ago I got through a Kilo in a week and thats over 4 Rods. Heavy use of them can be detrimental to the fish IMO anyway.
