Done.
Maybe worth doing a bit of search as I know members have posted somegood stuff on this in the past. A few bits here also: http://www.northwestcarp.co.uk/Carp-..._handling.html I'm sure many will be happy to post their thoughts again for this section however. J |

best tip i can offer rainey is, the fish is obviously slippy and when i first started i had trouble holding it without it slipping out of my hand. hold the **** fin inbetween your fingers and the pectoral fin between your fingers on the other hand, makes it so much easier than bear hugging

Mate search for the thread of me poasting my last trophy shot and just do the opposite, i got a slating and rightly so!
there are some very good tips there, should answer ur question. My first advise would be to catch a bigger one than ur Mrs first as no matter how nice the fish it i think it would over shadow the occasion! |

Amongst other advice, kneel down and don't hold the fish any higher above your unhooking mat than is necessary to get it in frame. Hold the fish reasonably close to your body so you can allow it to flop back into your arms (and then lower it down to the mat quickly) if it decides to wiggle around.
Also, if you wish to get your photo published in the angling press, whatever you do don't smile ![]() Mike. |
