Really? Made years and years ago before carp care was a particular issue mate. Think have mentioned this before but, If you have a read back about the bishop from redmire there is photo where it is lent against a concrete post with no one near it, that fish went on to be the record. Different time, different standards. Lets not get overally judgemental of chris and james.

If you dont know any better its hardly your fault, if you do know better and just ignore it thats the problem.

not stricly true Joe as it was made in 1990.....didnt you have an unhooking mat in 1990....But the Bishop incident was years ago I believe....

One important item that has been missed is when that special carp goes over the net cord you must shout whatever comes to mind, either the fishes name, some random assortment of swear words or just any ramblings basically. Very important!

Too true Joe, I think where you live in the UK governs what you shout though, for example;

Southerners shout - "PUKKA" or "HAULING"........

Midlanders - "BOSTIN" or "GET IN THERE ME MON"...

North - TBA (not been up here long enough to hear enough war cries) would it be something like "WELL IN THERE" or "TOP BOMBING" or something....

or something like, net the fish pull the mesh out of the way realise it is your target fish for the year take a deep breath try and keep yourself in control then think arrrr **** it YESSSSSSSSSSSSS GET IN! then get on the mobile to your mate on other side of the lake wake him up and tell him you have the fish he has been after for 3 years and has already been there 5 days and your on your first night ,get up and come n photograph my wacker lol well that was me anyway
