yea cast as far as you can and as accurate as you can , best advice i can give you


and no b4 i get jumped on i know distance is everything ! or is that length i can remeber what your missis keeps tellin me rainy

Practise makes perfect mate:

Just make sure that your spool is full, no kinks in your mainline, and keep away from power lines. I spent ages on the field near where I live practising my casting years ago - after a while you'll be dropping a 2oz lead wherever you need it to be.

If your consistently catching in one area, don't forget to either clip up or use a marker on you rline - makes it easier to hit the same spot time after time.

don't forget - if your using more than one set of rods - they will cast diffeently so you'll need to adjust your casting each time.

Glad we can take this all in light heart.... i know many a forum where as soon as the m word is mentioned you get death threats..... lol i will pop a 2 oz lead on the weekend and get in the fields near me....

as for your casting ...... as stated its down to practice ........... its simple realy .... who ever moves the lead the fastest get the distance ..... or so i was told by Kev bains ..... personlly distance isnt a problem for me .... as i just get the tug boat out lol but i can wen needed hit those hard to reach spots

hone that skill then mate , get a rope and head of to you local field , make a circle with the rop about 40 yards away from you ,.... practice castin within the rope , then when you have it spot on , move the circle further away and so on and son until you reach a distance where you can hitt that spot on most attempts , not even frank warwick gets it right all the time mate

and whats to say those recasts we make to baited areas after a fish actualy do hit 100% ..... and whats to say we arnt catching fish off the baited area , without a marker or at night tryn to send a lead 130 yards to a baited area and actualy hittin the correct spot is way harder than people give credit for ..... so you cud be pickin the fish up of the area ????? who knows ......

Practise ,practise ,practise .Get on a field with a washing up bowl and a rod with a weight attached to it and start at 10 paces and try to land the weight in the bowl once you have hit the bowl 3 times in a row take 2 steps back and each time you know you can hit the bowl every time from that distance take 2 or 3 steps back and do it all again once you get beyond 18- 20 paces start using the line clip personally i prefer to feather the line rather than use a line clip but if you a flinging a long way or spodding feathering is a deffo NO NO as you will both damage and wear your finger out
