Default Good all round carp reels??

Hi All

Im after some good carp reels, I currently use Shimano baitrunners.

I want to buy some new reels and wondering which ones are best value for myself, I tend to like the large spool reels such as big pits etc.

Could you please give me advise which you would recommend?

I have around £120 per reel x 2

Cheers

After reading the reviews on this forum I have just bought 3 Shimano 5500 XTB's aka "the Baby Pit" for £109 from Erics......

They feel fabulous and I'm yet to put them on my rods and use them yet

we've got both in pickerings, the xtb's came in today
daiwa ones are a bit more tarty with the silver but they both look very good
i think i'd pick the shimano's though tbh especially with the guarentee

Don't get me wrong, I like shimano so much that until now I've never owned anything other than shimano as far as reels go (for carp fishing anyway). Yes the Daiwas are abit tarty but they're a quality bit of kit too!
