is there one all round rig that i can use on most waters as i am just starting and its all over my head please help.

12lb mono rig of about 10 inches tied knotless knot to a size 8 korda wide gape!

standard 7 "blow back rig, fitted with either tubing or a ring !

will catch anywhere.....( usually in bottom lip )

i agree with phil.. i use the blow back for my day to day fishing . it has a superb hook hold and im yet to lose a fish (touch wood).

All good rigs there mate but you also need to consider what your fishing over eg Weed, Silt, Gravel, Sand etc etc and adjust your rigs accordingly also you need to take into account the Hookbait - Boilie, Tigers, Pellet, Bottom Bait or Pop Up etc as that will effect things as well.

Theres quite a lot of info on here if you do a search and also there are some good rig books out now that you will probably get in your local tackle shop but I would stay away from the complicated ones for now as your just starting out and build up to them over time . Good Luck.

Probably best using a soft braided hooklink because braid is suited to any type of lake bed.
