Why wait until it warms up fish are moved and stocked all year round as long as you do it right there is no problem with moving fish from water to water or tank to tank whatever time of year it is.
However moving fish from a pond to a tank can be very dodgy as the parasites & other bacteria etc which wild fish naturally carry
can become far to concentrated in a tank
