The first point I reckon is the most valid, bait and application. Get these right and carp feeding confidently, most sensible rigs will catch. You're spot on though Phil, you still have to feed in the right areas as well.
Still reckon bait is more important than the rig but it does make you realise how much you need to get right to catch them, bait, rigs, location, weather, etc. etc.
Good to get us all thinking though
