Its the Mitchell 300 that you want. Rodwise the RW cane rod is a lot of money if in goon nick so take a look at a cane salmon rod (as previous poster said) which can be a lot cheaper. I use a Chapman 500 that was a direct competitor to the Mk 1v and absolutely love it. Have had carp to over 30lb on it and find it just about the finest playing rod I have used. Easy to forget just how nice the old through action rods were for playing a carp.
