I use 15lb Braid on me spod.
With it being low diameter I'v found I can can achive a greater distance and do it easier than with mono, just My opinion
I use a 30lb armacorde shockie with the set up - never had any probs
, however... If I forget to soak the spool before casting it's wind knott hell
