Thanks guys.
Heres another question for you.
I will be taking this bait with me to france this year fishing a wild water that has crays and the dreaded poison chat catfish.
The way this bait is formulated it has a 'open' texture. I like it that way. Also it has a soft centre due to the egg albumen. But in france It will need to be far more resistant to the crays and poison chat.
That means a finer texture. I can achieve that with soya and semo but also it will need to be much harder. I'm thinking of using whole egg powder to harden it all the way through.
I could use a whey powder, whey gell or even up the egg albumin but they all cost a packet. whole egg is the cheapest.
I will also be drying the baits out.
Will whole egg do what I want? If not anyone know any cheap alternatives?
Just to make thinks a little more complicated I'll be using square baits. I know round baits will last longer but I'll just have to cope with that.
