Default Trying to re-hydrate

Hi Guys,

Im having a small problem trying to re-hydrate some boilies.........

Basically, air-dried them until they were like small marbles and they smelt pretty awful (kind of yeasty, but in a bad way). Im certain that hadn't gone off as there was no mould whatsoever. As they no longer smelled anything like Pineapple, I tasted one and it tasted bland.......

So, decided to re-hydrate some as a read on here they they re-gain the flavour/ attractiveness once re-hydrated. Put about 30 in a bucket with some bottled water and left them for well over 24 hours. the result was they they seemed to have swelled up and cracked??? They didn't look like boilies you could use. I then thought id try dry them off again so took some out for a good few hours and they were just ruined and cracked all over.

Am I missing something here?
