I've fished it twice and a mate of mine has fished it 3 times. On his last trip he had 18 fish in the week in very cold early spring conditions last year. The catch included 8 forties and a 70 + cat. His smallest fish was about 36lb and he averaged over 40lb per fish.
On my last trip I had 30 fish including 3 forties and loads of 30s including several catfish.
From these results you can see the lake has form when it comes to big fish. I believe they are now even bigger and the lake contains fish to over 60lb.
Other than the longish drive down I can think of nothing bad about the lake at all. I would rate it as one of the best lakes in France, run by people who know what they are doing.
