i take what your saying mate. i think the reason it did so well was because there wasn't any regimented set to the proceedings. i won't be getting people in to do talks or owt like that as it could lose it's relaxed atmosphere. the first 2 hours were one of the most nervous times in my life and i caned about 6 bottles of magners in that time trying to relax! I did really enjoy it though and the exitement and buzz of the lead up to it and how it went on the night was a great feeling. I don't think that i'd change how the event went on the night and how the schedule went with the raffle and prizes going out. I will probably reavaluate the date as i reckon it cost me at least 10 people with it being valentines week which was an error on my part. overall though with it being the way it was with people just mixing around the bar drinking, chatting and having a laugh with them having a common bond from this site it all contributed to making it what it was rather than having individual groups of people around the venue and not speaking to each other like more grand organised nights.
