Braidman Doubles Up on Compstall

Apr 24,2007 by Julian Grattidge

Boyd Morgan, aka the forums Braidman fished a short four hour afternoon session on Compstall recently. After walking around on arrival Boyd spotted a group of four fish in the margins at the far end ripping up the bottom.

Rigs consisting of two 16mm Mainline NRG bottom baits on long hairs to size 10 Korda Longshank hooks on Gardner Blackstealth were placed fifteen feet out from the bank at the bottom of the margin shelf where the fish were showing over a scattering of broken boilies. A screaming run an hour later produced this stunning mirror of 18lb 11oz, followed shortly after by a small but ‘mental’ common of 10lb 2oz.
