Blackwood Winter Social

The Annual Blackwood Winter Social took place recently with regulars banking a number of fish between them. Paul Bloor took a couple of nice doubles including the Pretty Linear. Julian also got amongst them with two doubles, a bream and even a chub! Nige Weston took a number of fish from the quiet bank, with doubles to 15lb. The weekend got off to a good start with a Barbie on the Friday night to warm things up before the team got stuck into a monster lobby on the Saturday night courtesy of Chris’s mum! However, top marks for the weekend were awarded to Joe Staniforth, who on his first visit to Blackwood managed to miss-read the directions and ended up getting his car stuck in some poor blokes front garden and had to get it towed out by a 4x4!
