Sale result for Andy

Oct 24,2006 by Julian Grattidge

NWC regular, Andy, is no stranger to Sale Water Park, having fished the venue regularly some years ago when the water was better known as a runs water. However, with reports of much bigger fish now present Andy decided to revisit his old haunt in search of bigger things.

After chatting with the bailiff, Andy decided to fish the motorway bank and opted for probably the muddiest swim on the lake! Two rods with stringers were placed at around ninety-yards to spots baited with boilies between two buoys, with a third in the margin on pellet.

An hour later the right-hand buoy rod ripped off but all went solid soon after. Andy could feel the fish and slowly started to make line on it, at which point it decided to turn and swim right towards the bank, resulting in frantic winding to keep a tight line. The stunning mirror was netted shortly afterwards weighing exactly 20lb
