Another Pendle 30lb'er!

May 25,2006 by Lin Davies

Hello everyone,

As promised please find the latest carp catches from Pendle View.  One photie shows the 33lb 12oz common caught Monday night by Mr. Mick Gill of Bolton. Mick caught this common from peg 65/66 and it was a personal best.  Mick used a home made frutie boilie.

I spoke to Mick today just as he was leaving Pendle View and he told me he was over the moon.  He said he actually wept with joy. I must admit he looks thrilled to bits looking at his photie.  Mick actually upgraded his ticket cause he said he just felt that lady luck was on his side!

He said the fish gave him quite a fight and he is looking forward to coming back in about a weeks time to try his luck again.  The second photie is the fish that I mentioned in the last fishing report and caught by Glen (one of our regulars).  Its a 24lb 8oz mirror which was caught on a halibut boilie.

Good news for our pleasure men also.  We have had some great bags of fish caught today (Tuesday).  One bag weighed in at 64lb. 4oz. This bag was caught by Bill Holden of Rawtenstall from peg 31. I have taken a photograph and I will include it on the next full report.  I had two other anglers fishing on the dam wall today and they also popped back into the office and told me that caught 50lb bags, which were mostly made up of bream.

best wishes
