Bolesworth bash brings success for Phil

Jan 01,1970 by Julian Grattidge

Top Pool regular Phil Wain did a 24 hour session at Bolesworth Castle, and took no less than nine fish, topped by a 14lb 14oz common pictured below. Mick Ball's Snail and Shell proved the downfall of the fish for Phil, who fished an area in the woods. Included in the haul were 6 10lb fish, which kept him busy until 1am, before heavy rain stopped play.

Site Editor Julian Grattidge likes nothing more than a good natter about all things carp. Indeed, working from home, his kitchen is usually full of passing waifs, strays, and Northern-Monkey mates who just happen to be passing by. Good Job he’s got a big kettle!
