PCI Lighter Lights Review

Mar 28,2006 by Nige Weston

When I first received the Lighter Lights, I saw them, and thought: “What a great idea!” and have since accompanied me on my angling exploits both in the UK and Abroad. The brightness of an LED light, combined with a lighter means you have a multi-functional tool, that can be incredibly handy on the bank.

People may assume that they are just a gimmick, and have no place in the tackle box, however I would have to disagree. I have found them extremely useful for both fishing and shooting outings and they are a valuable piece of kit with the brightness for long range requirements, yet not dazzling when used close up for example rig inspection. They are very small and lightweight, yet are very bright and could be seen across the lake if ever an angler got into any difficulty. They are also very handy for unhooking fish and landing fish in the hours of darkness, and I will not be found on the bank without one!

A small button toward the lower end of the lighter activates the LED light, and the flame is ignited by simply pressing the top of the lighter.

They come in a range of different coloured LEDs, and are very popular among anglers who smoke, or wish to light their stoves, and at just £1.50, are not to be ignored!

Site Editor Julian Grattidge likes nothing more than a good natter about all things carp. Indeed, working from home, his kitchen is usually full of passing waifs, strays, and Northern-Monkey mates who just happen to be passing by. Good Job he’s got a big kettle!
